Department Introduction

The Stomatology Department at Foresea Yihe International Medical Center is equipped with advanced dental devices, including the Carestream CBCT & Panoramic System, maxillofacial surgical system, digital intraoral scanner, dental implant machine, root canal length measurer, nickel-titanium ProTaper rotary instrument, VDW gutta-percha obturation system, ultrasonic root canal instrument, ultrasonic periodontal therapy device, and ultrasonic bone scalpel.
To eliminate iatrogenic infections, the department centralizes the disinfection and sterilization of all used dental diagnostic and treatment instruments at the Sterilization Supply Center, ensuring "one patient, one use, and one disinfection or sterilization" for all instruments entering the patient's mouth, effectively preventing cross-infections.

1）Diagnostic and Treatment Scope
The department offers a comprehensive range of dental services, covering the treatment of endodontic diseases, periodontal diseases, oral mucosal conditions, alveolar surgery, and various soft and hard tissue disorders in oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as fixed and removable prosthodontics for teeth and dentition defects, implant prosthodontics, early preventive treatment for pediatric dental malformations, and orthodontic treatment for both adolescents and adults.

2）Specialty Programs
The Stomatology Department primarily diagnoses and treats diseases affecting the teeth, pulp, periodontium, and oral mucosa, such as dental caries restoration, root canal therapy, periodontal disease management, dental trauma treatment, and stabilization of loose teeth.
Pediatric dentistry services include caries restoration for children, root canal therapy for pulp and periapical diseases, pulp protection and apexification for immature permanent teeth, emergency treatment for dental trauma in children, and stabilization of loose teeth. Routine oral health check-ups, consultations, and preventive treatments for children's permanent molars (such as dental sealants and fluoride application for caries prevention) are also available.
Prosthodontics focuses on restoring dental defects, including removable and fixed prosthodontic solutions for partial or complete edentulism, post-and-core crown restoration after root canal therapy, and aesthetic restorations such as all-ceramic crowns, ceramic inlays, ceramic veneers, and teeth whitening. Additionally, invisible dentures and dental implant restorations are available, along with space maintenance therapy for premature loss of primary or young permanent teeth and tissue defect reconstruction following maxillofacial surgery.
Dental implant restoration includes implant solutions using brands such as Straumann, Hiossen, and Osstem. For patients with severe alveolar bone resorption, bone augmentation techniques such as guided bone regeneration, bone grafting, and maxillary sinus lift procedures (internal and external approaches) are used to ensure optimal implant stability and aesthetics.
Orthodontics focuses on diagnosing and treating various malocclusions, using a combination of aesthetic and functional approaches. The department offers orthodontic treatment for crowded teeth, diastema, protruding teeth, and early intervention for conditions such as crossbite and retrognathia.
The department employs straight-wire appliance therapy, self-ligating bracket systems, Tip-Edge appliance therapy, and invisible aligners, as well as functional appliances, preventive and interceptive orthodontics, combined orthodontic-periodontal treatment, and combined orthodontic-prosthodontic treatment.
