Department Introduction

The Endocrinology Department of Foresea Yihe International Medical Center has accumulated rich experience in the education and management of diabetes, intensification and maintenance of target treatment, diagnosis and treatment of advanced complications with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), thyroid diseases, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis disorders and gonadal disorders. The department is able to accurately handle endocrine and metabolic emergencies, severe diseases, and rare diseases.
The research accumulation is mainly concentrated in diabetes, pituitary disorders, metabolic bone diseases, and hereditary endocrine disorders. It is at the forefront of China in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult and rare diseases, hereditary endocrine disorders, pituitary disorders, and endocrine emergencies. The head of the department holds important academic positions both nationally and provincially.
The department is the Guangdong Province Diabetes Education Base, the Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Thyroid and Parathyroid Diseases, the Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Clinic for Weight Management, and was awarded the Most Influential Unit in the "511 National Public Welfare Activity for Prevention and Control of Obesity" in 2023.

The main diagnosis and treatment scope of the Endocrinology Department covers diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal diseases, hypothalamic-pituitary axis disorders, reproductive endocrinology, bone diseases and calcium and phosphorus metabolism, growth and development and puberty, nutritional and metabolic diseases, multiple endocrine gland diseases, acute and chronic acid-base and electrolyte disorders, endocrine diseases in special populations or conditions, difficult and rare diseases, and genetic endocrine disorders.
