Internal Medicine-Oncology

Department Introduction

The Oncology Department at Foresea Yihe International Medical Center has extensive experience in managing tumor-related complications, oncologic emergencies, and the toxic side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors, including various metastatic cancers, TNM staging of malignant tumors, and imaging-based tumor diagnosis. It provides standardized chemotherapy, biological therapy, and molecular targeted therapy for various malignant tumors in strict accordance with NCCN guidelines, ensuring accurate drug selection and appropriate dosing, aligning with the chemotherapy regimens used in leading oncology hospitals both domestically and internationally.
The department has implemented painless standardized chemotherapy and provides comprehensive clinical care and nutritional palliative treatment for patients with advanced malignancies. A standardized three-step analgesic ladder for cancer pain management is in place, ensuring optimal pain control for cancer patients. The department also emphasizes the use of the MDT model to develop sequential and cross-disciplinary comprehensive treatment plans. Its technology and equipment meet advanced national standards, allowing for a high level of diagnosis and treatment of both common and complex oncologic conditions, with significant clinical outcomes.

Treatment and Services

1) Diagnosis and Treatment
The Oncology Department follows a standardized approach to cancer treatment, integrating targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and precision medicine. It provides scientific and standardized diagnosis and treatment for various solid tumors, including lung cancer, breast cancer, and gastrointestinal malignancies. Additionally, the department treats lymphomas and hematologic malignancies.

2) Specialty Programs
Targeted therapy: At the cellular and molecular level, treatment is carried out on identified tumor-driving genes. Targeted drugs bind to and work by specifically selecting carcinogenic sites, causing specific tumor cell death without affecting surrounding normal tissue cells.

Immunotherapy: The department offers various tumor immunotherapies aimed at reactivating the body's immune response against tumors, including cytokine therapy, molecular vaccines, and cell-based therapies. Additionally, immunomodulatory agents, such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and immunosuppressants, are utilized to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

Supportive and Palliative Care: Through standardized pain management protocols, nutritional support, and effective control of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, the department has established specialized pain-free and nausea-free wards.

Genetic testing: including hereditary cancer risk assessment, providing guidance on chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, and evaluating the efficacy and risks of chemotherapy drugs.
