Event Recap
On the occasion of "World Gout Day," the International Medical Center hosted a Gout Day event at the Zhujiang New City Clinic, where we engaged with patients on topics such as the pathophysiology of gout, common misconceptions in its diagnosis and treatment, pharmacological treatments for gout, and lifestyle management. We also provided a heartfelt free clinic for patients.
【Expert Lecture】
During the Gout Awareness Seminar, we were honored to invite Dr. Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Rheumatology and Immunology Department at Foresea Life Guangzhou General Hospital, and Dr. Wang Ting, a general and internal medicine physician, to address the major "pain points" of gout. They provided gout education from a professional academic and evidence-based clinical perspective.

Dr. Wang Ying from the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology introduced the pathophysiological impact of gout and analyzed common misconceptions in gout diagnosis and treatment, covering topics such as serum uric acid levels, gout treatment, long-term pharmacological management, and diet. She emphasized the chronic and multidisciplinary approach required for gout management.
Dr. Wang Ting, from the Department of Internal Medicine, focused on uric acid metabolism, gout diagnostic criteria, pharmacological treatment options, and lifestyle management, sharing key insights into the clinical management of hyperuricemia and gout.
With concise, evidence-based content and an engaging presentation, the seminar provided a more comprehensive and clinically relevant understanding of hyperuricemia and gout for every attendee.
【On-site Consultation】
After the seminar, Dr. Wang Ying provided one-on-one specialist consultations for the patients who attended. Besides addressing key concerns with patience and accuracy, Dr. Wang offered personalized treatment recommendations based on individual patient conditions.
